How to use Stackclean, answered questions, and how to reach us.

Stackclean is a simple tool with a single purpose: turn a bank-statement CSV into a month-by-month catch-up plan. This page covers everything you need to get started.

01 / Getting started

Three steps from a CSV export to a plan you can follow.

  1. Export your bank or card statement as CSV. Most banks and card providers offer a "Download transactions" or "Export" option in their online banking portal. Look for CSV format — some banks call it "Comma Separated Values" or "Excel (CSV)". If your bank offers QFX, OFX or PDF, convert to CSV before uploading. Stackclean reads only CSV files.
  2. Open the App page and drop your file. Go to stackclean.agen2ic.ai/app, drag your CSV onto the upload area, or click to select a file. You can also click "load a sample" to see the tool work with example data first. The file never leaves your device.
  3. Check the column mapping, set your preferences, and review your plan. Stackclean detects date, description and amount columns automatically — but you can adjust the mapping if needed. Set a receipt threshold (the amount above which you want a reminder to keep a receipt), choose your preferred session pace, and click to process. Your plan will show each month with transaction counts, money in and out, and three checklist categories.

02 / Frequently asked questions

Answers to the questions real users ask most often.

How do I download a CSV from my bank?
Log into your online banking, find the transaction history or statement section, select the account and date range, then look for a Download, Export or Save as button. Choose CSV as the format. If your bank offers only PDF or QFX, you can convert those files online — but Stackclean works best with a direct CSV export. Some banks also let you choose columns; include at least date, description (or merchant name), and amount.
Does Stackclean see or store my financial data?
No. Stackclean runs entirely in your browser. The CSV file you select is read into your device’s memory and processed locally. It is never transmitted over a network, stored on any server, or accessible to anyone else. When you close the browser tab, everything is gone. The page does not load tracking scripts, analytics, advertising pixels, or external resources. See the privacy policy for details.
What if Stackclean detects the wrong columns?
After you upload a file, the column mapping section appears. You can adjust which column is used for date, description, and amount using dropdown menus. Stackclean tries to detect the columns automatically from your file’s header row, but if your bank uses unusual column names, you can correct the mapping before generating the plan. The tool will remember your choice for the current session.
How does the receipt threshold work?
The receipt threshold is the amount you choose (between $10 and $500) above which Stackclean flags a transaction in amber with a "Needs a receipt" reminder. This is a planning aid: it helps you spot larger payments during tax time or expense reconciliation. It does not determine tax deductibility (that depends on your country and circumstances). You can adjust the threshold at any time and regenerate the plan.
What does "unusual transaction" mean?
Stackclean flags transactions that are significantly higher than your typical spending pattern, or one-off amounts that stand out from the rest of your transactions in that month. This is a simple pattern-detection heuristic — it looks at the amounts relative to your own data. It might flag a large one-off purchase (a laptop, a tax payment) or an unusually high bill. Treat it as a second look, not a definitive alert. Always review the flagged items against your own records.
Is Stackclean actually free right now?
Yes. Stackclean is listed at $12 one-time, but the checkout is currently in Stripe test mode. No real card is charged, and the tool is free to use while you evaluate it. Once live payments are enabled, a single $12 payment gives you the tool as it exists today with no subscription, no account, and no recurring fee. See the pricing page for full details.

03 / Known limitations

Stackclean is a planner, not a full accounting system. Here is what it cannot do.
